Cardiovascular magnetic resonance myocardial feature tracking for the measurement of myocardial twist and untwist at rest and during dobutamine stress in healthy volunteers

چکیده
Background CMR feature tracking (CMR-FT) is a method of assessing strain from routinely acquired steadystate free precession (SSFP) cine images similar to echocardiographic speckle tracking. However, its application to determine myocardial twist and untwist has never previously been explored. We sought to determine the feasibility of measuring twist and untwist from routine cine images in healthy volunteers at rest and during inotropic stimulation.

Quantitative assessment of myocardial mechanics in patients with cardiac amyloid using cardiovascular magnetic resonance myocardial feature tracking
Background Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) feature-tracking (FT) allows the quantitative assessment of complex ventricular mechanics such as strain, twist and untwist. LV twist results from the dynamic interplay between systolic clockwise rotation of the base and a counterclockwise rotation of the apex followed by untwisting during diastole. We sought to determine whether strain, myocar...
متن کاملCardiovascular magnetic resonance myocardial feature tracking detects quantitative wall motion during dobutamine stress
BACKGROUND Dobutamine stress cardiovascular magnetic resonance (DS-CMR) is an established tool to assess hibernating myocardium and ischemia. Analysis is typically based on visual assessment with considerable operator dependency. CMR myocardial feature tracking (CMR-FT) is a recently introduced technique for tissue voxel motion tracking on standard steady-state free precession (SSFP) images to ...
متن کاملMagnetic resonance stress tagging in ischemic heart disease.
High-dose dobutamine magnetic resonance stress testing has been shown to be superior to dobutamine stress echocardiography for diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). We determined the feasibility of quantitative myocardial tagging during low- and high-dose dobutamine stress and tested the ability of global systolic and diastolic quantitative parameters to identify patients with significant...
متن کاملQuantification of Left Ventricular Torsion and Diastolic Recoil Using Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Myocardial Feature Tracking
OBJECTIVES Cardiovascular magnetic resonance feature tracking (CMR-FT) offers quantification of myocardial deformation from routine cine images. However, data using CMR-FT to quantify left ventricular (LV) torsion and diastolic recoil are not yet available. We therefore sought to evaluate the feasibility and reproducibility of CMR-FT to quantify LV torsion and peak recoil rate using an optimal ...
متن کاملCardiac magnetic resonance myocardial feature tracking correlates with natural radial strain and corresponds to inotropic stimulation
Methods 10 healthy subjects were studied at 1.5 Tesla. LV shortaxis radial strain ErrSAX was derived from SSFP cine images using dedicated CMR-FT software (Diogenes MRI prototype, Tomtec, Germany) at rest and during dobutamine stress (10 and 20 μg * kg-1* min-1). Natural radial strain values (loge [End-systolic wall thickness/ end-diastolic wall thickness]) were calculated in identical segments...
